About the station
Vikersund station opened in 1866 when Randsfjordbanen line, Drammen–Randsfjord, was completed. Since the end of the 1980s, most long-distance trains to and from Bergen have run over the Randsfjordbanen instead of over Roa.
The station is not staffed.
The station is also the starting point for the veteran trains on the Krøderbanen, which have passenger traffic in the summer.
