About the station
Nationaltheatret station opened when the Oslo Tunnel was completed in 1980.
In 1999, the station was expanded to four tracks and a new vestibule with waiting room was put into use.
The station has universal design.
The station has three entrances
- From Studenterlunden/Nationaltheatret at Johanne Dybwad's place
- From Russeløkkveien
- Entrance west from the intersection of Parkveien and Henrik Ibsens gate

- Westbound trains run from tracks 1 and 2 in the old station hall.
- Eastbound trains run from tracks 3 and 4 in the new station hall.
