About the station
Fåvang station reopens as a result of damage to Dovrebanen line after the extreme weather "Hans". This means that there will be fewer buses for trains, until Randklev bridge at Ringebu opens again.
The station was opened as Myre stop in 1896 when the railway was extended from Tretten to Otta.
In 1898, Fåvang was upgraded to a station and in 1921 was given its current name.
The passenger traffic was closed in 2001 and was given the status of a remote-controlled crossing track.
